First Lesson

Amelia smiled. She looked at her piece of parchment, in where she had been planning a lesson. She sighed looked out the window, where everything looked quite peaceful. She turned her attention back to the classroom, and waited for her students to arrive.

Jasmine was on her way to Transfiguration. She hoped she was the first person there. She was already called a bookworm by her family. She didn't need anymore nicknames. She took a deep breath, not knowing what she was going to find inside. She opened the door and walked inside.

Ginny entered the classroom, surprised that she was the second one. As always, Peeves had caught her again and thrown ink all over her. She sat down in one of the front seats. She had broughten her notebook, like always.

Lyra walked into Transfiguration class. She was relieved she wasn't late this time, having been late for Charms and CoMC. "Hi Ginny," she said, sitting down next to her. She gave a friendly smile to the other girl already there.

Ginny looked up, and noticed Lyra. "Hi Lyra!" She said, she smiled when Lyra sat next to her.

"Hello guys!" Jade calls as she walks into the classroom.

Ali strolls into class, nodding at the Professor before slouching into a chair in the back.

Muriel came into the classroom, and looked at the Professor with smile. "Hello," she greeted. "And hello, guys!" She also greeted the students too.

Marisa walked in, and saw her sister. "Hey sis, and hello sorry for being late." Marisa said hopping in.

Lyra watches as more people come into the classroom. Smiling back at Jade and Muriel, she hugs her bag to herself as she waits for the class to start.

Marisa zooms to sit by her sister. "Has any Gryfinnfors hurt you yet?" Marisa asked Jade her family dosen't like Gyiffindors only b/c there step-mom was in that house, and became a DE.

Ginny smiled. She recognized Jade, Lyra, Muriel was here. She didn't recognize a 3rd year girl. Or another student who seemed to be Jade's sister. She turned her attention back to the Professor, waiting for her to ask a question.

Amelia decided to ask a simple question first. "Does anyone know what Transifguration is?" She asked, hoping that someone knew the answer.

" Transifguration is the art of changeling form, and appearence od an odject." Marisa says flipping though a muggel book.

Amelia nods. "Correct." She said. "Today we are learning on changing a match into a needle." She said, handing everyone a match. She gave them the incantation, and started to wonder who would accomplish it first.

Marisa muttures the incantation the match spins around slightly, and turns into a needle. "Leraned this spell my first year." Marisa smirks.

Ginny looks at the match. Gripping her wand tightly, she said the incantation, and sighed when the match turned gray. It still needed the pointy tip. She decided to try again, and it looked slightly pointy.

Lyra sighs. Transfiguration was never her best subject. She pointed her wand at the match and said the incantation. To her relief, the match turned pointy and got a silvery sheen, but it wasn't completely a needle yet. "Well, better than nothing..." she thought. She decided to try again and managed to make it look like a needle, but it looked a bit... woody.

Ginny noticed Lyra's match looked like a needle but as if it was made of wood. She paid attention back to her own match. She pointed her wand at it and said the incantation. To her surprise, it looked like a needle, except it wasn't silvery. It had the color of a match, the pointyness of the needle, and it was made of metal like a needle. She sighed, she was close.

"Ginny ever though of feeling the magic within you reach out to your wand?" Marisa asked the first year.

Ginny thought for a moment. "Yea, I always have." She said to the girl.

"Than try harder." Marisa urges her.

Lyra looked at her needle, then Ginny's. She decided to try again. Muttering the incantation, she managed to make the match-needle turn into a proper needle. "Finally," she says, feeling a little tired.

"You did it,though it looked like it took some wind out of you." Marisa comments seeing her good work.

Amelia looks at her students, some had already completed it. "If you would like something harder, please come up her to transform, let's say, a book into a snowglobe." She said. She had many old and worn books she wouldn't be needing anymore, so it was a good choice.
